Before You Rent
How do I apply for a rental unit?
You can apply online using the Rental Application link available on our website.
What is required to qualify?
- You will be asked to tell us a bit about yourself
- We will need to know all adults living at the property; they will each get their own application
- Complete the application
- Supply, photo ID, proof of financial resources, letters of reference
- Please note, we do run a credit report
Do I have to pay money up front?
We will never ask for money prior to confirming you are being offered the rental unit.
Payments & Rent
When is rent due?
Your lease will specify a date due; usually, it is the first of the month. Anything after the due date is considered late rent.
What happens if I miss a rent payment?
Communication is critical; we can not help solve an issue and work with you if we are not aware. Usually, an “N4” will be issued and gives you time to get caught up.
How can I pay rent?
- You can opt into our automatic withdrawal program
- You can E-transfer payment to the assigned email address
- You can pay by cheque at our offices
Maintenance
Who do I contact for maintenance issues?
Click on the Tenant Maintenance Request at the top of the page to submit a request.
Please note, never send an emergency via this button, call your office and press extension 9.
What is considered an emergency repair?
Examples include:
- No heat during winter
- Major water leaks or flooding
- No electricity
- Broken exterior door locks
- Fire or carbon monoxide alarm issues
- For emergencies, call our 24/7 line immediately.
Can I make changes to the unit?
All changes (painting, fixtures, installations) must be approved in writing by AG Secure. Unauthorized alterations may violate your lease agreement.
Leases & Notices
What happens at the end of my lease?
You automatically become a month-to-month tenant. If you wish to terminate your lease, you must submit an N9 form with a minimum of 60 days’ notice.
Can I sublet my unit?
Subletting is not permitted without prior written approval. Contact our office to discuss any changes to your tenancy.
